My Story
I am a retail manager by profession. I was the first MIS manager in the group, implemented the systems before I handed over to my assistant who took over as manager. I was picked to implement the new customer relations department, setting up the customer rewards program. I was involved in every new store we set up, and had a sales target in the millions.
I left the retail industry to pursue my own financial goals. Today, I am working with a new retail group in my state. The general manager asked for me personally and I said yes. But I continue to build my own income streams on the internet. I studied for my MBA, and marketing was a core subject that I loved. In any business, marketing is the key to the sales effort. So, do your due diligence before you commit to any business. You need to know if you can run the business, whether you have a passion for it, and where you can get help when you need it.
Decide on a business model, select a niche and stick to it. Focus on it until you can generate cash-flow, before you move on to your next project. This is when automation and systems come in. Unless you want to stay with one income stream, otherwise automate and then replicate. The automation is to take the bulk of the work off your hands. That way, you can either focus on marketing or create a new income stream.
