No, but Twitter is a form of list building. It allows you to engage in conversation with the people in your network, your followers. More importantly, Twitter is a relationship builder, more so than emails. Messages from Twitter gets delivered instantly and you can expect a reply.
Josh Spaulding talks about how he uses Twitter to build relationships and JV. Not so much as a traffic generator but you can read his post here, “Why I Like Twitter and Why Others Don’t”. Although the debate on whether it is effective and in which niche or business model it should be used. In the end, it is your choice. Personally, I use twitter, because ezineArticles and Squidoo allows you to twitter your posts.

About Using PLR Content
If you are going to use PLR content for your product or website, this is what you should know before using PLR content.
Private Label Content (PLR) has been a very popular topic in the online business market over the last few years. As more opportunities emerge for people to make money with niche marketing, the demand for affordable content has grown.
PLR is essentially a way for multiple people to share content, by altering it to make it their own. Since they are all given access to use of the content, they pay significantly less for the content.
You can then use that PLR as it is and put your name on it as the author. Or you can break it up into small articles, add to it, combine it with other PLR content, create an audio product from it, and do almost anything you want with it. The more creative you are, the more unique your resulting product will be.
For online marketers, this means a savings of countless hours of work writing all of their content. Or thousands of dollars in outsourcing fees for a professional writer.
Before you get started using PLR for your content, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind:
Trust the Source
It is important that you trust the source of the PLR content. You know not all PLR content is created equal. There is lots of inferior PLR content that no marketer in their right mind would use. Once you put your name on the content, your readers will think that you wrote it. If it’s not well written, informative and interesting you might as well not bother. Even if you’re just using the content on your website to improve search engine
rankings, it should be of good quality because prospects will be reading it and you are judged based on it.
Not Article Site Submissions
PLR is not for submissions to article site, which is probably the worst use of PLR content. If you have submitted articles before, you will know that article directories are very strict about this.
Rewriting PLR
Internet marketers use PLR content to create their own unique products. Rewriting PLR is the best way to use it. With this method you can create content that is unique, and is time-saving. You use the PLR as a source of idea; add your own opinions and writing style to it.
PLR content is a great way to get content you need for your website or business. It is affordable, and very flexible. When you need content for your blog or want to create a complete product line, PLR is the great choice.

My Squidoo Book
Built any lenses lately?
I have been spending quite a lot of time in Squidoo lately, creating lens and learning about ’stuff’. Then I decided to write a book about using HTML to create great looking lenses. The wordpress guys say code is poetry, and I am inclined to agree. Just a simple line of code can make a lens look so much better. So that is what my book is about.
You will find it in my download section or you can download it here.
I have moved on to building a Squidoo Book which is basically a lens which is linked to all the relevant lenses that I’ve built on the same topic. It is a great way to organize your lenses, and makes it easy for the reader to see the lenses you have built. The links to my other lenses are shown as chapters of the book, and the title pretty much describes what is on the lens.
It is on a subject that is very close to my heart, and something I like to work on from time to time. If you want to take a look, here is the link. It is meant to be helpful and light-hearted, hope you enjoy it.
Goal Setting Video 2009
The bulk of the internet marketing messages I get seem to be doom and gloom, unless you gear up and get your game plan ready. By all accounts, seems like everybody’s economic outlook is that the market is headed into recession. Internet marketers are telling people to start an internet business to starve off the projected downtown in the real world market.
If only the solution was so simple. Buying a product or a bunch of products from a successful internet marketing guru is not going to help you if you don’t have a clue what internet marketing is about. In my opinion, in internet marketing, the keyword is marketing. Doom and gloom are emotional triggers used in marketing to get you to buy. The key is to buy solutions, not products.
Any time is a good time to plan for a recession. Just don’t let the fear of recession guide your goal setting plans for 2009. Fear is an emotional response, it can make you short-sighted. When you are thinking emotionally, you’re not thinking clearly about the direction you are headed. You’re just RUNNING!
Marketing is about Strategy, Tactics and Execution. What you want your business to do, how it’s going to do those things, and what you have to do to make it achieve your goals. Goal Setting for 2009.
The good news is Internet shopping is predicted to hit US$145.1 Billion in the coming year, a significant 14% increase - despite the recession. In part these will be bargain hunting, upgrading skills or learning new ones, research for online money making or internet marketing opportunities.
I want to you to see this FREE Goal-Setting video for 2009, it will help you pursue your personal, financial, and business goals in 2009.

Wishing you Success and all the Best for 2009!
Who’s Your Guru?
The other day I was talking to a guy at the health club I just joined. (Never had time when I was working for someone else.) We started talking about our personal trainers. If you aren’t familiar with the term, these are fitness experts who are educated to design work-out routines based on an individuals strengths, needs and goals.
Anyway, Rick said something that struck me right between the eyes. “I got so confused reading all the books and fitness magazines. Everyone has a different opinion of what works the best. I finally figured if I was going to work out, I might as well pick one expert, listen to them and follow their program.”
Later, as I was driving my sore body home, I thought about how appropriate Rick’s comment was to Internet Marketing. Everyone’s an expert. (Even people who have yet to sell their first eBook.) And there are a million programs, books, secrets, techniques and tactics that will work for you.
The problem is, you can easily fall into what my favorite business school professor called, “Analysis Paralysis”. That’s where a lot of people are stuck. They keep reading, and it gets in the way of actually doing something.
I Was Guilty
I was guilty of this, too. I must have bought several hundred dollars worth of books and courses before I found what worked for me. Fortunately, the expert I decided to follow was, in hindsight, an excellent choice. And by following his advice and listening to his ideas, I have built up a couple of successful income streams.
My point isn’t that my “guru” is the right one for everyone. The point is to pick one or maybe a couple of people you really respect, and model them. Of course, make sure they are actually successful in their own businesses first. But when you find someone you respect and whose style you like, listen to their advice and follow what they recommend in their writings.
Save Your Brain
Following this strategy can save lots of brain cells that you would spend switching strategies and tactics. It avoids confusion and gives you a good point of reference from which to work. You don’t have to keep reading and searching for the latest eBooks. Assume your guru knows the latest tactics and will advise you of how well they work.
I’m not saying you never look at another eBook or eZine again, it’s just that you have one primary star you follow, it’s that much easier to find your way.

Define A Blog
A Blog can be anything you want them to be.
A blog can be a channel for your creativity and communication to the world. It connects people, allows the individual to be heard and empowers everyday people like you and I. Blogs also provides individuals with a publishing a publishing tool that has the potential to generate income. For many people, blogging can change their life.
A Blog is essentially a website. A Blog is content publishing system that an average computer user can use to publish his content on the internet. If you can write an email, you can publish a blog. All you have to do is to chose the format of your blog. In my opinion, the easiest to use is WordPress.
Blogs allow the blogger and the reader to interact. Readers can comment on the blog post and thus begin an exchange. The ability to exchange ideas and opinions is what makes a blog so dynamic in nature. When a group of like-minded individuals gather to exchange information, this can quickly morph into a community. Many blogs also have a forum so that the community can interact and create an amazing knowledge base.
Blogs are also trusted sources of infornation, and the blogger can be percieved as an expert in their field, on the internet and offline world. Content on a blog is not static, it gets updated as new information is available and from the exchange of ideas from the readers. Blogs are also regarded as unbiased.
To build a reader base, blogs need solid content and quality traffic. When this happens, monetization can take place. Without traffic, a blog might as well not exist. As anyone who has been blogging for any period of time knows, getting traffic is the biggest challenge a blogger will face.
Choosing A WordPress Theme
For anyone who wants to create a blog, I would recommend using wordpress. It is easy and intuitive to use, you can change the look of your blog or install any plug-ins that suit your needs. A properly coded wordpress theme helps in your Search Engine Optimization.
A simple way to choose a blog theme is to simply see what loads first. When a visitor lands on your page, the content of your blog should load first, then the headers and sidebars can load while your visitor is reading your content.
When you choose a blog theme, open the source code and see if the template shows the site title in the H1 tag, and the post title inside the H2 tag. This way, the search engines can easily find your site title and post title when they index your blog’s pages.
Another point is to have your sidebar on the right side, not the left. This is a search engine issue because in order to get a left sidebar, the text for your sidebar will appear on the page before your actual post. Simon Hodgkinson of www.HodgkinsonPublishing.com advises against this. If you want your blog post to be as high as possible up on the search engine page, use a right sidebar.
Optimize your graphics to load quickly. You can do this using Dynamic Drive Online Image Optimizer. It is a online tool that is free and easy to use. You load your header, reduce the file size while maintaining a clear image.
In selecting a theme, its overall appearance should match the purpose of the site. It should be easy to navigate, and the design of the blog theme should enhance the website’s content. The style of your blog will reflect your personality, and the usability of your selected wordpress theme should be visitor-focused. What does it offer the visitor? The answer is clear navigation and solid content.
On this website, I use the Super Affiliate Pro Theme. This wordpress theme allows the user to use all kinds of page template. You can see it here on this post: Using Super Affiliate Pro.
On the other hand, if you prefer a magazine style wordpress theme, the Guru Theme from Gobala Krishnan’s BLOG PAYCHECK is hard to beat. It looks good, and is one of my favorites.
Internet Marketing Hype
People complain that there is a lot of hype in internet marketing. That it is easy to make money online, or how all you need to make money online is to buy a certain product. Make $200 sales a day or $1,000 sales a day. How about how certain products will kill a certain company, or destroy them, or dominate this or the other? Or how you can rip off the big brother because big brother can afford the loss.
The truth is internet marketing is marketing, and marketing is all about the hype. Is there an ounce of truth in the internet marketing claims? Yes, I believe it is true. But just because it is possible doesn’t mean that it is probable. An internet marketer may have achieved success with his methods, however doesn’t mean that those methods are suitable for everyone. Personally, I think it’s more a case of finding a method that works for you, and keep refining or expanding that method into a system.
All is fair in the game of marketing, as long as there is a grain of truth in the sales copy. As long as the internet marketer has produced results, he is entitled to market his product in the best possible light. Look at the off-line traditional advertising, just because a hair product can make your hair look good, it’s not going to turn you into Brad Pitt. But as long as the product works on your hair, the marketer can use Brad Pitt to sell his product.
At the end of the day, it comes down to the basics that work. Stop chasing after every new system that are being sold, or something that promises quick results. It may work for someone who has been in the game long enough, or for someone who has a mentor to guide him. For the rest of us, we just keep our expectations realistic, and do what we enjoy. If something works, improve it. If it doesn’t lose it, have an exit strategy in place.

The cool thing about it is you can use for wordpress blog as well.
This helps because the fonts options in squidoo and wordpress is quite limited. By using HTML, you can use just about any fonts and size you want. It allows you to change font color, highlights, underline, and lets you get creative.
You will find it in my download section or you can download it here.
I also found some really useful lenses which I included in the book. You might want to read about it if you are interested in Squidoo. The graphics you see here are from Donna Maher, @ www.bizunlim.com/squidoo.

Since I built it, I might as well show it off. Here’s my lens: www.squidoo.com/RestaurantRecipesNow
